Welcome to Bay Potters

We welcome new and returning members throughout the year. If you have no prior potting experience, we strongly recommend attending one of our beginner classes before joining.

As a member of Bay Potters Association Inc., you'll join a vibrant community dedicated to the art and craft of ceramics, with access to our full facilities, equipment, and a supportive network of fellow pottery enthusiasts.

Day Visitor Passes

Visitors are welcome to come along and try us out. Day passes can be paid on arrival. See the Day Fees & Firing Charges table below for current pricing.

Member Clay Purchases

Clay is available for members to purchase from the club when stock allows.

Clay can be purchased from the Club when stock is available. Members must document purchases in the attendance & clay book and pay at the end of the month.

The Bay Potters Association Inc. operates under a formal constitution and association framework that outlines our governance, membership rights and responsibilities, financial management, and dispute resolution procedures.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Our AGM is held in the second week of February each year. It’s where members elect the management committee, review the year’s activities, and vote on association matters.

  • When: Second week of February, annually
  • Quorum: A minimum of 6 paid members must attend for the meeting to proceed
  • Notice: Members will be notified at least 7 days in advance and asked to confirm attendance
  • Voting: Only members aged 18 and over with paid membership are eligible to vote

If you can’t make the AGM, please let the committee know in advance so we can confirm quorum.

Grievance Procedure

Bay Potters Association Inc. is committed to maintaining a respectful and inclusive community. We have established a formal grievance procedure to address any concerns or disputes that may arise.

How to Lodge a Grievance

If you have a concern, please contact the management committee at baypotter4@gmail.com with:

  • A clear description of the issue
  • Relevant dates and parties involved
  • Any supporting documentation

The management committee will review your grievance and respond within 14 days.
